武侯祠 (Wuhou Shrine / Temple of Marquis
A temple and museum dedicated to Zhuge Liang, the famous strategist of the Three Kingdoms period. Famous for its red wall corridor and serene gardens.
人民公园 (People's Park)
This is the classic and most central Chengdu park. It's where you can experience true local life: drink tea at the 鹤鸣茶社 (Hemeng Teahouse), try your ear at an "ear cleaning" (采耳), row a boat on the small lake, and see the 辛亥革命保路运动纪念碑 (Monument to the Railway Protection Movement).
